“All of these writers should be proud that their imaginations are well and truly alive, that dreaming "what if?" has taken them far from their own lives and deep and deep into their heads and hearts.” Cecelia Ahern from the introduction to the anthology.
25 Stories High was launched in Pobalscoil Neasáin, Baldoyle on Tuesday 17th May 2016.
Twenty five transition year students from the school have been visiting Fighting Words each Thursday, since September, to work on their short stories. They drafted, redrafted, edited and completed the stories with encouragement from Fighting Words volunteers. They chose the title of the book and worked with a designer on the cover.
The students also organised the launch in their school which was a great occasion. There were even giant number 25 balloons! The students were joined by family, friends, school staff and the Fighting Words team to celebrate the publication of their book.
