Over four days they scripted and recorded a magazine radio show.

Irish Times Supplement 2012
Fighting Words will publish a magazine of new writing with the Irish Times later this year.
Last year's supplement is available here (Unfortunately, to read the supplement you must be subscribed to the Irish Times).
We are looking for submissions from 13-19 year olds for this year's supplement.
Animation Filmmaking: Fighting Words and Brown Bag Films
A group of twelve 9-11 year olds will work together to script a short animated film. Dates are as follows and participants must be available for ALL sessions:
Make Your Own Radio Show! Fighting Words and Curious Broadcast
We are delighted to announce the following project for primary school children, in conjuction with Curious Broadcast. We are looking for twelve 11-13 year olds to work with Fighting Words tutors and the team at Curious Broadcast in Tallaght to create a radio show.
Participants will work to put together a radio show for broadcast on Curious Radio over five weeks. The emphasis on preparing and writing pieces.
Sessions will take place both at Fighting Words AND Curious Broadcast studios in Tallaght. Dates are as follows and participants must be available for ALL sessions:
The Art of Making Radio: a workshop for adults (and teens over 15 years)

Time: 9.45am to 1pm
Come to Fighting Words and learn about radio and making radio with experienced professional broadcasters.
No advance preparation necessary.
Charity Christmas Carols with Roddy Doyle
Join author and playwright Roddy Doyle and the Rathdown School Choir in the Main Hall of the NLI, Kildare Street at 8.00pm on Wednesday 14 December for Christmas carols and a reading by Roddy.
The NLI’s Cafe Joly will be open from 6.00pm on the evening, serving scrumptious mince pies, delicious mulled wine and other delights.
Derek Landy Visits Fighting Words
On 7th December, Derek Landy, author of the Skulduggery Pleasant series of books, visited Fighting Words. He spoke to a 6th class group from St Fiachra’s Senior National School about the Skulduggery Pleasant books and writing.
They spoke about characters and character names, script writing and dialogue in stories, action scenes and martial arts, good guys and bad guys, favourite books and pandas.
