The Big Story for The Big Picture
Children at four Fighting Words locations - Dublin, Wicklow, Cork and Belfast - are each writing a chapter of The Big Story, a project with teh Laureate na nÓg PJ Lynch. The theme of the story is "The Search."
PJ Lynch Internationally renowned author illustrator PJ Lynch was named the fourth Laureate na nÓg in May 2016, succeeding Eoin Colfer in the role.
Each Laureate works with the Laureate team to establish their ‘project’ and theme – this often leads to a legacy project.

As part of the National Museum of Childhood Event Day, we invite participants aged 14-17 to explore childhood past, present, and future in a Fighting Words creative writing workshop. As part of this workshop, participants will visit an exhibition of photos and stories related to childhood in the Royal Marine Hotel, Dún Laoghaire. This visit will act as inspiration and starting point for the creative writing workshop that follows.
