On Tuesday, March 10th, Fighting Words launched its new centre in Belfast, which was attended by Glenn Patterson and Roddy Doyle.

Fighting Words – the creative writing centre in Dublin– is seeking an intern!
Fighting Words offers free story-writing workshops for children and young people as well as adults with special needs.
We offer workshops for schools during the academic year and summer camps during July and August. All tutoring is provided by trained and vetted volunteer writing tutors.
The premiere screening of 'The Story will be revealed in the Movie' took place on Saturday 22nd November at the Science Gallery, Trinity College.
Members of Write Club, past and present, took part in a series of Readings to celebrate Joyce's Dubliners. Sean Farrelly, Robyn Gill and Eoin Moore took part in the afternoon of events at the James Joyce Centre.
Special thanks to all the schools who attended, to St Mary's BNS Maynooth for kindly hosting us, the NUI Maynooth student volunteers and staff, all the staff at the Cinemobile.

We are thrilled to announce that Fighting Words, in association with Brown Bag, won the award for Best Under 18 Short animated film, for the film The Battle for Ravenwind, at the Dublin Animation Awards recently held in the Pavilion Theatre, Dun Laoghaire.
