As part of First Fortnight, the annual festival that raises awareness about mental health, challenges prejudice and works to end stigma, Fighting Words is hosting a workshop for young writers aged 10 to 12 years on Saturday, January 16th!
Who Am I? Who Are We? Poetry at Fighting Words

Age Range: 10 to 12 years
We are all individuals with our own strengths and we all live in communities together. At this workshop for young writers aged 10 and 12, participants are invited to consider the themes of what makes us unique and what brings us all together.
Working with experienced authors and a team of Fighting Words volunteer tutors, participants will use their imaginations to create poems to express our differences as individuals and similarities as communities.

Places will be allocated by lottery to ensure fairness
Due to the high demand for places, we ask that children only within the age range apply.
This workshop is FREE but places are limited and booking is required.
Parents/guardians will be advised if your child has a place no later than 4.00pm on Tuesday, January 12th.
