Workshop with Barefeet Theatre, Zambia

Barefeet Theatre company from Zambia, along with Circus Zambia were in Dublin last week for a performance of 'Empyre,' a one-night circus spectacular. Ahead of their performance, the group hosted a workshop for a group of young writers from Fighting Words.

Young Irish Writing - The 2019 Fighting Words Supplement in The Irish Times

The 2019 Fighting Words supplement of new writing from young authors was published on Tuesday, 7 May 2019.

From our co-founder Roddy Doyle's introduction: "Fighting Words opened in Dublin 10 years ago, in January 2009. We started just as the country was falling apart, as the Celtic Tiger was being hauled off to the abattoir, and we wondered – myself and Seán Love, the co-founders – how long we could stay open, if there’d be enough interest from schools and teachers, if we’d be able to attract enough support.
