Once upon a time, there was a puppy called Super Fast Puppy. 

He was friends with Megabunny and Supergirl. 

One day they found an evil marshmallow. 

Sparkles’ Revenge

Sparkles the Unicorn woke up in dangerous fear as Lily, the walking bush, was knocking at her window.  

Lily enjoyed her summer holidays by scaring Sparkles every morning!  

Sparkles ran downstairs to get a hedge cutter. 

Wauger Wirinca

Greenlanes National School, Clontarf, 5th Class, 26th April 2017

Wauger was bored and annoyed because no one could pronounce his name right.

Wauger closed his eyes, he didn’t want to look at his boss whose beady eyes were staring at him through the lenses of his glasses. 

Ugh...he hated glasses.

Into the Woods

One day a little girl called Molly went into the woods with her best friend, Nightmare Fred.

Molly was talking to Nightmare Fred. 

“Do you want to go and play?” she said. 

An Epic Adventure

Once there was a Magic Oil Tree called Ben. And his best friend was called Rose. 

She grew there next to the Oil Tree. They lived in the Haunted Forest where strange things always happened like other trees were alive and could walk. 

But each tree every single night disappeared. All except for the Magic Oil Tree. 

The 24hr Trial

There once was a Kangamoose called cushion.  His best mate was Harold the pig.  

He lived in the land of the Mookangas and always wished he could be a Mookanga too.  

His destiny was to become a Mookanga, like a caterpillar turns into a butterfly. But it’s taking ages.  

The Fight for King Chicken

Once there was a chicken called Super Magic Wizard Chicken (his friends call him SMWC). His best friend was Billy, the normal chicken. 

SMWC could lift mountains, shape-shift and fly. He was as strong as five gorillas. 

He could also speak Spanish, French, English and Irish. 

The Life of Joe the Shark

Deep, deep under the sea there lived a shark named Joe. 

He was afraid he was going to lose his family, but he really wanted to go find a banana costume. 

Joe’s best friend was a dolphin named Pearl.

Mr. Cranky’s Week of Worries

Mr. Cranky was stuck in his office, planning to skydive, when he heard the children laughing.

It was very hard for Mr Cranky to hear the children because he had his window barricaded so he would not see their faces.

“Why are you always stuck in your office?” asked one of the children.

Jojo the Unicow

Once upon a time, there was a lonely unicow called Jojo. 

Jojo was in search of a new friend. 

He lived in a field, close to a forest, in a different dimension.

Once upon a time there was a DJ called JJ. He was away on a trip to New York and there he met a lion.

“My name is Smarty Pants, I run around the streets of New York jumping into trash bags,” said the lion. 

“What do you eat?” said JJ. 

Attack of the Giant Snails

One day Bob the Snogon was waiting in the park for his friend Jimmy the pig. 

When they were walking alongside a pond, there were a load of ladies, dancing for fun. 

Jimmy walked into a really big tree that had lots of weird animals in it.

Escape of the Gummies

One day there was a sweet shop that came alive. 

All of the sweets in the sweet shop were alive and could talk and walk.

The leader of the gummy gang was named Billy the gummy bear. 

Jeff the Unicorn

Long, long ago, in a land far away, there lived a unicorn named Jeff.

He wanted to jump down off his cloud and eat Choco the Chocolate Bar. 

But he was too scared, because his enemy, Horsey, was down with Choco the Chocolate Bar.

Revenge

Happy the Clown lived in America with The Twinz in a rickety old house.  

Every day, Happy and The Twinz ate slugs and snails for breakfast and broccoli for lunch.

Happy was afraid to work in the circus because of the children. 

Waffle Kaboom!

Bob-the-Waffle-Genie lived in a waffle, sitting around playing video games, waiting for someone to say the magic word and call on him.  

(‘Time for Breakfast’ is the magic word.)

Pussums the cat jumped in the window after he smelled lovely fresh waffles.

Survival

I ‘ve been here for almost seven years and this is where I feel most at home. 

When I was five years old I lost my parents in a house fire. 

Then I wondered off into the forest and met a wolf called LaLa and he brought me to his wolf-pack.

Spikey and Ginney

St. Catherine’s National School, Dublin 8, 1st Class, 30th March 2017

There was the land called Pineapple Land. Spikey the talking pineapple lived there. 

He had one best friend, called Ginney the guinea pig. Ginney lived in Guinea Pig Land. 

It was hard for Spikey and Ginney to visit each other because Pineapple Land and Guinea Pig Land were hours away from each other.

The Amazing Meatball

Meaty the meatball got beaten up! 

Then Skinny Spaghetti, his best friend, came in and wrapped his legs around Apple Pie, the bad guy, and threw him off the building. 

Apple Pie fell onto a trampoline and bounced back up! 

The Super Walrus Final

Richie the Super Walrus had a friend called Hedgy the Hedgehog. 

They both had superpowers and were partners in fighting crime. 

King Scary Clown was taking over the world and also eating all the jelly beans! 

Bob From The Tallaght Flats

Bob the Chicken Wing was running away from Zara the sprout. 

As he was running, he tripped on a pebble and he fell down the stairs. 

When he landed, Bob bumped into his best friend Billy the Carrot’s feet. 

Junior the Scary Clown

Once there was a boy called Junior. His father was a clown in the circus, so his father made him become a clown. 

Junior the Clown’s best friend was Zak, the boy with fire powers. Junior helped Zak to try and control his powers. 

Junior was always bullied in school.

The Mysterious Farm

One sunny morning a hundred years ago, it was Jenny the piglet’s birthday. 

On her birthday, she wished that she could become a chicken. 

Jenny’s best friend Sarah the puppy gave her a chicken costume for her birthday.

Dancing With the Food

Once upon a time in a package of Oreos, Oli the Oreo wanted to get out and dance. 

“Can I get out now?” said Oli in his package. 

One day, Oli was woken up by the package being shaken.

 

The Life of Gary the Turtle

This is a story about Gary the turtle, but he was no ordinary turtle.

Gary the turtle woke up with a start. “Oh no, I’m late for work again!”

Before he went to work, Gary needed to go down to the rock pool to catch some shrimp for breakfast.

When Frank's life changed

One Pancake Tuesday, Frank woke up to the sound of his alarm clock buzzing. 

His adopted mam was making him pancakes downstairs.

Last night, Frank had a bad dream about how his real parents died. 

Toasted

Once upon a time, Jerry the evil slice of bread got cut off from his loaf. 

Jerry fell into Bob the toaster and got toasted.

When he got out, Jerry was burnt.  

A Gupventure

Sacred Heart Junior National School, Tallaght​, 2nd Class, 16 March 2017 

Gup the pug escaped from a house and he ran away to a far away jungle. 

A lion chased Gup through the jungle, but a bird called Crango stopped the lion and they all became best friends. 

One day, Chewy the lion got stuck in some branches. The lion started crying.

Aliana’s Journey

​Brittas Bay NS, 4th class, County Wicklow, 15th March 2017

One day, Aliana Flame was walking through the woods, with her pet wolf, Nom-nom when another wolf jumped out and then ran away in five seconds.  

Her eyes followed the wolf and then she saw the wolf fall off a bridge.  

Part of Aliana wanted to see if the wolf was ok and another part thought it might be part of a trap.
