The Ghost’s Dream

Once upon a time there was a ghost named Crystal.  She was also a superhero.  

One day, Crystal was sitting on the moon and looking down at everything below on Earth. 

She was examining the cities and looking for her family. 

Super Piggy’s Adventure

Once upon a time, Super Piggy was drinking tea in his bedroom. 

He lived in a magical land called Animal Land, where absolutely anything is possible.

Just then, Killer Hen - Super Piggy’s biggest enemy - crashed through the ceiling. 

William’s Wings

William the Worm was sadly burying himself in the mud. 

His best friend Bridget the Bumblebee could hear him crying.

Bridget flew down to see what was wrong.

Once upon a time there was a flying cow called Timmy. 

Timmy was flying above the trees when he spotted someone who needs help. He flew down. 

Timmy saw a fox about to eat a rabbit. Timmy flicked the fox away with his horns. 

The Love Triangle

Once upon a time there lived Jessica, the Dolphin.  But she wasn't any ordinary dolphin, she was a rare dolphin, who was pink and had a heart of gold.  

At the age of one she got abandoned by her parents and a group of turtles raised her.  

She went to an Under The Sea party and met Timmy the DJ Turtle. He was very kind and they became friends quickly.

Go Sue Yourself

St. Andrew’s NS, Bray, 6th Class, County Wicklow, 25th May, 2017  

Once there was a turtle. He lived on the Eiffel Tower.

It was just a normal day for Birthonomule the turtle, when he saw Achmed the eagle sitting beside him, trying to eat his left ear. 

Then Mr. Tortoise, who owned the Eiffel Tower, walked out of the elevator and said “Pass you shall not!”. 

Jelly Tots and Sapphire

Our Lady Immaculate Junior National School, Darndale, 2nd Class, 25 May 2017 

“Let’s get back to work,” said Sapphire to Jelly Tots. 

They were training how to be superheroes when the Evil Alarm went off.

“EVIL ALERT! EVIL ALERT!” was the sound coming from the alarm, which flashed black and red.

A.4 Paper

Frank the Paper Aeroplane was playing White Parade on an A4 sheet of paper in his Granny’s basement.  

The city had been bombed out. 

Frank and Oscar the ostrich, his best friend, were hiding.

Anna’s Insane Adventure

Once upon a time, there was a scientist called Mike. He created a doll who could talk. 

Her name was Anna and she lived in a lab. 

When the scientist passed away, Anna was brought to a toy shop.

Tale of The Flying Table

One day Jeff the eejit was face-down on his table eating cereal.

Suddenly the table smashed and he cried because it was his best friend. 

His mum brought him to the shop to buy a new table. 

Attack Of The Spider Pigs

Rising from the dust after a battle with a mutated spider pig, Steve the llama was dazed.  

He rang his best friend, Mr Cat.  

“Hello, I’ve a headache.  I need help!”  said Steve in a squeaky voice.

Deirdre stumbled onto the train puling a humungus suitcase behind her. 

She had been running late and thought she was going to miss the train. 

Her face was roaring red and she was sweating. She got to her seat, all out of breath.

Dark Wing the Dragon heard a sound behind his back.

It was a girl whose clothes were all ripped and she was cold. 

Her name was No Heart. She had black hair and she was the Dragon's best friend.

The Birthday Surprise

It was Troy’s birthday. His party was at Ballymun Sportslink. There was a big chocolate cake, pizza, chicken nuggets and chips and loads of sweets. 

All Troy’s friends were there and they were all having a brilliant time.

Troy’s grandad was having a cup of tea in the party room with Troy’s grandmother and his sister Leah. 

The Magical Mushroom

Once upon a time there was Sean, the Magical Mushroom. 

He was hopping past his mother’s house when he fell into a bowl of curry!

He wished he could turn in to a giant mushroom so that he could fly out of the curry.

A Turtle’s Purpose

St Patrick’s National School, Drumcondra, 4th Class, 18 May 2017 

In a galaxy as far away as your grandma’s house, Timmy the turtle had just woken up. 

Timmy realised his house was under attack by a dragon. 

He jumped into his Turtlemobile and escaped the dragon with his best friend, Joey the turtle.

Kitty Saves the Day

One day, Kitty the cat and Taz the dog were running together through the park. 

They saw a lake of water. 

Taz jumped in but Kitty didn’t. 

The Ugly Sunflower

Timmy the sunflower was a little seed. 

Boquefues the bear found him in the jungle and brought him home to plant him.

Boquefues watered him every day and named him Timmy.

Chip & Coco

Chip the Cookie was the loneliest cookie in the world until he found his best friend Coco the Chocolate bar.

Chip lived in a house by himself until one day he was walking along and bumped into a chocolate bar.

The Big Burger Escape

Brian the Burger was at the butcher’s counter in Nolan’s Supermarket waiting to be bought. 

He was worried because he might be eaten.

Brian had always been a sorrowful little burger because he didn't have any friends.

Theodore's Story

I came home from school and I got a surprise. 

It had been my first day at school and I hadn't known anybody. 

My mum, who was in hospital, had been allowed home for one night. 

Wrinklebottom's nightmare

Once upon a time there lived a very interruptive pig called Mr Wrinklebottom. 

He had a friend called Larry the Ladybird and he was a ladybird. 

He lived in a small cottage with his fat mother. His greatest wish was to fly.

Spike and Hazel’s Adventures

Once upon a time there was a hedgehog called Spike who lived in a park. He lost his family when he was five years old. 

Spike lived in the trunk of a tree and he became friends with a squirrel called Hazel. 

They went shopping together and played together in the park.

Attack of the Hamburgers

I was going for a walk in the old forest. All of a sudden, three badgers jumped out of a bush. 

I think their names was ‘The Badger Bros. The brothers were being chased by a centaur. 

Gary, the griffin sees the centaur and says “Hello Trevor. Why are you chasing the Badger Bros?”

Toaster Time

Once there was a man named Joey. 

He had a best friend called Johnny the toaster. 

Joey had previously lost his own toaster in a fire and now he was homeless.

Biskit, Shrubs and Bushes

Biskit is on a mission. He needs to get to Shrub Kingdom with his best friend, Johnny the bowl of rainbow jelly. 

Biskit is in his gaff planning how to get past the dirty bushes. 

“We have to get to Shrub Kingdom before sundown on Saturday night.” Biskit said.

Toby’s Greatest Wish

Toby the Panda lived in a jungle in Japan with his brother. 

He wished that he could fly higher than anyone. Toby’s best friend was Poppy the Dog. 

Toby and Poppy were swimming at the watering hole. 

The Runaway

Once upon a time there was a boy called Dylan. He was walking on the beach. 

Suddenly he was swept away into the sea and from then on he lived underwater.

Dylan found a stone that had special powers and allowed him to breathe underwater.

The Ambition

Lucy’s Birthday

The weather was horrible, but she was feeling excited and happy.

The Killer Potato

Once upon a time there was a normal potato who had radioactive milk spilled on him and he turned into an evil potato. 

His name was Mr Killer Potato.

Chucky the pig was his best friend and was unaware that Mr Potato had turned evil.

The Uni-Bros

One day, good old Barry the dog was having a chat with his best friend, Bob the unicorn.

“Have you heard about the dangers of Tesco?” said Barry. “The price of dog food these days!”

“Yes! And also, unicorn food – you can’t find it anywhere!” replied Bob.

Drake and his jockey

He threw the table out the window because that day he found out he had been adopted.  

He had been chatting to Conor the sheep, his mum, and she let it slip out!

He lived in a magical valley called Glencree. 

He went to Duffy’s pub every week to try to find a “mott.” 

Have You Seen Ernie?

Moonlight poured through the canopy of the dark forest. 

The Cat Lady was closing in on him. She grabbed at Ernie the cat’s tail, but all she caught was thin air. 

He scampered up the tall oak tree.

Sparkly Revenge

Jefferson Saves The World

Boston National School, Boston, Co. Clare, 4th Class, 28 April 2017

Jefferson is in school alone and he’s day-dreaming. He’s supposed to be cleaning out a cupboard because he was late for school. He comes across a book in the cupboard.

It’s a big heavy book. When he picks it up, he sees it’s a very old book, so he’s curious to know what it’s about. But there’s nothing in it, so he asks his teacher can he take it home. 

When he gets home, he opens the book. The book tells him: “Go to page 196”.
