The Christmas Problem

Susie the Elf and Christopher the Snake were in a field talking about what kind of wishes they could have.

“My wish is to become a sheep,” said Susie.

“Why do you want to become a sheep?” asked Christopher. “Is it because you want to eat grass?”

“Because I want to have a woolly jumper on all the time,” replied Susie.

“My wish is to guard you and also to become a dragon,” said Christopher.

It started to get dark so Susie and Christopher headed inside to Santa’s workshop.

They saw loads of elves making potions. They saw Santa reading letters.

Santa looked happy because he got a letter asking for two front teeth.

They smelled Mrs. Clause’s amazing cookies in the oven.

“Oh yummy,” they both said at the same time.

Santa bursted into the room after he heard Susie and Christopher talking about wishes.

“My greatest wish is to have a snakeskin belt,” Santa said very fiercely.

Suddenly, there was a loud bang and one of the potions blew up...
