In the dark horrible ages, there was a scream in the cave.
“Pelgah, where are you gone?” said Elghah. “It’s dinnertime.”
Elghah was inside her cave, making her dinner of dragon claw soup. There was a stony silence.
Elghah was worried her twin sister had been taken by a dragon.
Suddenly, she heard a scream for help. Elghah peeked her head out of the cave.
She was fretting to go out because the sun was starting to rise and she was terrified of the light.
Elghah saw Pelgah hanging off the edge of the cliff. She was about to run out, but the sun was on the horizon.
She was torn between going out in the light and saving her sister.
There were rocks underneath her. Pelgah’s fingers couldn’t hold her weight because she had eaten too much soup.
One by one, her fingers slipped off the cliff.
As her fingers slipped off, Pelgah’s started to fall as if she were skydiving.
Elghah’s stomach was churning - and it wasn’t because of the soup. It was as if she was the one falling.
A dragon swooped from the clouds and shot down just as Pelgah was inches from the ground and saved her.
Elghah saw a strange being sitting on top of the mountain…
